He has an extensive background in music, having played in bands since a young age and studied Contemporary Music Performance at WAAPA in Perth, Australia.
Over the past 7+ years, Sam has established himself as a professional session drummer in the Australian music scene, collaborating with various artists such as Dulcie, Darcie Haven, Kingswood, Siobhan Cotchin, and Alannah Chapman, among others.
Including Laneway, Spilt Milk, Big Sound, SXSW, Rolling Sets, Good Day Sunshine, and Changing Tides. He has also been part of Australian tours, including an Arena tour opening for Matchbox Twenty & The Goo Goo Dolls in early 2024.
Playing on a variety of records, Sam is well-rounded when it comes to recording drums. Understanding groove and being able to serve the song in its best form is what he’s all about.
